Product Overview The MAX7311AAG+ is a 2-wire interfaced 16bit I/O port expander with interrupt and hot insertion protection in 24 pin SSOP package. It provides 16bit parallel I/O port expansion for SMBus and I2C applications. The MAX7311 consists of input port registers, output port registers, polarity inversion registers, configuration registers, bus timeout register and I2C compatible serial interface logic compatible with SMBus. It is used in servers, RAID systems and PLCs.
