Product Overview:

The MAX220CWE+T us a +5V powered multichannel RS232 driver/receiver in 16 pin WSOIC package. This ultra low power device in intended for all EIA/TIA-232E and V.28/V.24 communications interfaces. It is particularly suitable for applications where +- 12V is not available . the MAX220 has four sections such as dual charge pump DC to DC voltage converters, RS232 drivers, RS232 receivers and receiver/transmitter enable control inputs. the integrated charge pump circuitry eliminates the need for bipolar +-12V supply and enables single supply operation from +5V supply. It is used in interface translation and multidrop RS232 network and portable diagnostics equipment.

- VCC supply current of 0.5mA with no load and 13mA with 3Kohm load at both inputs.
