Buffer/Line Driver, Octal, 74HC244, 3-State, 2V to 6V, SOIC-20 Product Overview The 74HC244D is a octal buffer/line driver with 3 state outputs in 20 pin SOIC package. The device can be used as two 4bit buffers or one 8bit buffer. The 74HC244D features two output enables each controlling four of 3 state outputs. A HIGH on output enable causes outputs to assume high impedance OFF state. Inputs include clamp diodes that enable the use of current limiting resistors to interface with inputs to voltages in excess of VCC.
