Digital to Analogue Converter, 12 bit, 3 Wire, Serial, 2.7V to 5.5V, DIP, 8 Pins Product Overview The MCP4921-E/P is a single channel, 12bit voltage output digital to analogue converter with SPI interface in 8 pin DIP package. User can configure the full scale range of device to be VREF or 2*VREF by setting gain selection option bit (gain of 1 of 2). Device can be configured to shutdown with the use of register bit. In shutdown mode, most of internal circuits are turned off for power savings and output amplifier is configured to present a known high resistance output load (typically 500Kohm). The MCP4921 also incorporate power on reset (POR) circuit to ensure reliable power-up. It utilizes resistive string architecture with its inherent advantages of low differential non linearity (DNL) error and fast settling time.
