DC/DC Fixed Charge Pump Voltage Inverter, 1.4 V to 5.5 V in, 25 mA out, 125 kHz, SOT-23-5 Product Overview The MAX870EUK+T is a switched capacitor voltage inverter in 5 pin SOT-23 package. This monolithic, CMOS charge pump inverter accepts input voltages ranging from +1.4V to +5.5V and operates at 125KHz. Its high efficiency and low operating current make this device ideal for both battery powered and board level voltage conversion applications. Oscillator control circuitry and four power MOSFET switches are included on-chip. A typical MAX870 application is generating a -5V supply from a +5V logic supply to power analogue circuitry. It can deliver 25mA with a voltage drop of 500mV. This device is used in small LCD panels, cell phones, medical instruments, handy-terminals, PDAs and battery-operated equipment.
