This microprocessor's (µP's) reset input starts the µP in a known state and µP supervisory circuit assert a reset to prevent code execution errors during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions. It is specifically designed to ignore fast transients on VCC and significantly improve system reliability, accuracy compared to separate ICs or discrete components.
