It is based on highest performance Hercules MCU RM57L843. The RM57L843 is a lockstep cached 330MHz ARM Cortex-R5F based RM series MCU. Hercules MCUs are designed to aid in development of IEC 61508 functional safety application. The LaunchPad features connectivity options and has capability in addition to standard BoosterPack headers for further expansion to an FPGA or an external SRAM using high density connectors for MCU's parallel interfaces (EMIF, RTP and DMM). The RM57Lx MCUs include many diagnostic features such ECC protection for CPU caches & other memories and a rich set of peripherals. This LaunchPad is pre-programmed with Hercules safety MCU demo enabling users to easily learn about the key safety, data acquisition and control features of Hercules MCU platform.
